Group 5 Latin test--Monday, May 24th

Group 5 has been preparing for their Latin quiz for the past several weeks. The test will include vocabulary from the chapter 1 through and including page 50. Students are also expected to master the fundaments of Nominative, Accusative, Linking verbs, subject predicate, predicate nominatives, and predicate adjectives.

This test represents a review of this year's Latin curriculum.

High School French and Italian: Students are currently preparing for their mid-term, which will be in the same format as their recent vocabulary tests. The test will be comprised of vocabulary words from the first four chapters of their large pictoral vocab books. The students have already been quizzed on all of this material; hence the mid-term is essentially a review. Students will be given English words and will be expected to provide the Italian/French equivalent with proper spelling.

Group 5 Latin: Due Fri. 1/15- Ennumerate and re-write each sentence in chapter IV, labelling each subject/nominative and direct object/accusative. Each verb is to be labelled LV (linking verb), TV (transitive verb), or IT (intransitive verb).
Then text is to be transcribed a second time without sentence parsing (labelling).

group 5 B & G- Group 5 Latin students have a three chapter (ch.1-3) vocab quiz on Friday. They have already been quizzed on each chapter individually. This test is for mastery. On Thursday night students are to give their books to parents for quizzing in order to insure readiness. Parents should ask students the English, thus asking students to manifest and spell correctly Latin vocab words.
